Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Information
This program offers vouchers of $50.00 to seniors 60 years and older to use at participating farm stands. The vouchers are available to Hunterdon County residents 60 years or older whose total gross household income is within the income limits of $26,973 for a one-person household and $36,482 for a two-person household. Starting July 1, 2024, the income eligibility will increase to $27,861 for a one-person household and $37,814 for a two–person household. To qualify, the individual must be 60 years or older, or turn 60 by July 31st this year and meet the household income guidelines.
Each eligible senior in a household will receive a QR code worth $50.00 to be scanned at participating farm stands in New Jersey. The voucher will not be accepted at grocery stores and must be used by November 30th.
Application forms can be found at https://www.co.hunterdon.nj.us/2827/Senior-Farmers-Market-Nutrition-Program or at the Division of Senior, Disabilities and Veterans Services, 4 Gauntt Place, Flemington. Applications need to be completed and then returned to the Senior Center, at 4 Gauntt Place, Building #1, Flemington by mail or clients may bring their completed applications on Thursdays or Fridays throughout the month of June.
Voucher booklets can be picked up on Thursdays or Fridays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 pm only at Building 1 (Senior Center) for the month of June. NO drive throughs are scheduled this year.
